proper little man

...and the summer finally comes to an end and Jasper has started school! So far so good and Jasper is having a wonderful time learning all about rainbows, green playdoh and how to "Row Row Row your boat" (well that was today, anyway!). PE is his favourite already, closely followed by painting. We think he's going to be taking after his parents just a little.

Jasper was also pleased to see the park and did some running practise around the flowerbeds

coming home present!

Jasper had been very much looking forward to seeing Daddy, and he was even more excited to find that Daddy had a present for him! He's getting the hang of it but unfortunately it means he now has extra speed so more parental sprinting is called for...

getting ready to go home

On our last night in Cheltenham Jasper has lots of fun playing bubbles with Granny (an excuse to get Granny REALLY wet - Mummy knows this game and was elsewhere at the time...)

Jasper was delighted to be back on a train again! Grandpa and Sue took us on the steam train from the racecourse up to Toddington where we played in the park and had LOADS of ice cream!

tea at Auntie Mosemary and Uncle Derek's

Jasper was thrilled to meet "Auntie Mosemary" and Uncle Derek, and had lots of fun making everyone run around the tree in the garden! We had a lovely tea with piggy biscuits and as Jasper felt sure that the cat was being left out, he passed him some titbits from the birdtable (gratefully accepted by new furry friend). Later we went back inside and Auntie Mosemary found a fire engine and a police car which Jasper was very excited to receive, and which are now pride of his collection (thank you, Simon!).

meeting old friends

After the flower show we went to tea with Margaret and Deepak, and played with Sumi and Mano's toys from the 1970's! Mummy was a bit freaked out as she remembered playing with them 30 years ago...eek

look, cars!

We visited Geoffrey and David who showed us all the vegetables in their allotment, and went back to their garden for a cup of tea and ginger bickies. Jasper was keen to show the boys his cars and Geoffrey and David have learned the colours yellow, red, blue, green and grey, and how to count to 6.

over 'ere on me 'ead son

Jasper and Grandpa discovered that if you bounce a beachball on someone's head it goes really really high and makes a brilliant "poink" noise

crickeeet!

Jasper was thrilled with his cricket set and insisted that Mummy and Granny come out to play. Lots of runs were scored, and eventually Jasper stomped off back to the pavillion for tea (cream cheese sandwiches and ice cream)
